All of us know that we celebrate Earth Day every April 21st. But why not make Earth Day an every day activity? This educational, essential program focuses on the following topics:
OUR ENVIRONMENT: The world around us...Air, Water, Land, Animals, Trees, etc. Each component fits together with the other parts. If something in the environment is damaged or destroyed, the entire system is affected. Students learn why we all need to do out part to promote a safe, clean environment. FOOD: Most of our food comes form the ground (soil), and the LAND is very important to us. Although farmers are now able to grow more food than in the past (due to fertilizers, pesticides, etc.) the proper use of these chemicals is emphasized.
TREES: Trees are really important to both people and animals. Trees provide oxygen, food and shelter. Recycling paper is one of the best ways to reduce the large-scale cutting of trees
ENERGY: Most power plants burn coal to make electricity, causing smoke, toxic fumes, and gases. Many ways to save electricity and conserve energy are covered.
WASTE: Solid waste is one of our biggest environmental concerns. Ways to deal with it are covered including details on the most important : RECYCLING!

This is a fun-and-fact-filled show as our presenter blends visual magic and audience participation with educational concepts.
